The Sleeper – Harbor Law Office
When the owner of this building first came to us, he said that he wanted a “Sleeper Office”. He said he wanted people to look at it from the outside and think it was a boat shop on the harbor, but when they came inside, he wanted them to be shocked by the contrast. The outside is a plain and simple Maine boat shack, but the interior is appointed with custom arch topped walnut raised panel doors made in our shop. The ash floors were made from a tree that was cut down right where the building now stands. The offices have custom built-in cabinets and bookcases topped by walnut crown molding. The receptionists desk and skylight above were all designed with a nautical feel in mind. The word most frequently heard the first time someone comes through the doors is, “Wow!”
